Eligibility

Who Can Use This Service?

Our weight management service is designed for adults who meet the clinical criteria for medically-supported weight loss. During your consultation, our GP will confirm your eligibility based on a full assessment.

  • BMI of 30 kg/m² or above (obese range)
  • BMI between 27 and 30 kg/m² with an obesity-related comorbidity

Qualifying comorbidities include:

  • Hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • Dyslipidaemia (abnormal cholesterol or triglycerides)
  • Obstructive sleep apnoea
  • Pre-diabetes or controlled type 2 diabetes

You must also be willing to follow a structured diet and exercise plan. We require evidence of previous attempted weight loss through lifestyle changes alone.

Weight Management FAQs

Find answers to frequently asked questions about our weight management service.

Adults aged 18 or over with a BMI of 30 or above are generally eligible. If your BMI is between 27 and 30 and you have an obesity-related condition such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes, or sleep apnoea, you may also qualify. Our GP will carry out a full clinical assessment during your consultation.
Consultation fees vary depending on the type of appointment. Please visit our booking portal for up-to-date pricing. The cost covers your clinical assessment, personalised plan, and follow-up guidance. Medication costs, if prescribed, are separate.
There is no fixed duration. Your GP will create a personalised plan and schedule regular reviews to track your progress. Most patients begin to see measurable results within 4 to 12 weeks, depending on the approach and individual factors.
If clinically appropriate, our GPs may discuss licensed weight-loss medications such as GLP-1 receptor agonists (e.g. semaglutide or liraglutide) or orlistat. All prescriptions are based on a thorough clinical assessment, and medication is only one part of a broader lifestyle plan.
